Kadampa Chaplaincy

The Prison Chaplaincy Program

We have provided Buddhist chaplaincy to inmates under a contract with Correctionnal Service Canada since 2005.
Our aim is to give inmates an opportunity for spiritual development and healing. We offer varying levels of instruction on a weekly basis so that inmates can work with difficulties such as guilt, anger, and depression, in the light of practical Buddhist concepts of love, compassion, and wisdom.
It is essential that the spiritual program is positively affecting the daily lives of inmates by increasing their inner peace and mental stability.

We are available to work with your health care organization or government agency to develop a program adapted to your specific needs and wishes for staff or for those you serve.
