International Kadampa Festivals are special spiritual vacations. They are led by the Spiritual Director and Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. The Festivals include teachings and empowerments from the principal Teacher, reviews and meditations led by senior NKT Teachers, chanted meditations and offering ceremonies, and retreats to deepen your understanding and experience of the Buddhist path.
Open to everyone, these International Festivals are a wonderful opportunity to meet with Buddhist practitioners from all over the world and share experience and understanding of the spiritual path with them.
Three Annual Festivals
There are three International Festivals each year:
To find out what it is like to attend an International Festival, visit the Festival Diaries section where you can view videos, photos, and reviews of previous International Festivals.
Helping the Temples Project
The profits from these Festivals support the International Temples Project. The goal of the ITP is to support the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhist temples, retreat centers, and other projects such as Kadampa Schools around the world.
The International Fall Festival will be held at KMC New York from October 17th - 23rd.
Register for this special opportunity. It's rare for such a festival to be so close to Ontario.
